We are seeking engaging and practical presentations (45 - 50 minutes) for educators focused on promoting mental health, social-emotional learning, and positive school culture in elementary settings. Topics of interest include: boosting staff morale, implementing SEL strategies, bullying prevention, restorative practices, family engagement, and innovative uses of technology and AI to support well-being. STRANDS:
1. Building Positive School Culture & Staff Morale: focuses on creating emotionally healthy learning environments by prioritizing adult wellness, collective efficacy, and positive school culture. Sessions explore strategies for boosting staff morale, preventing burnout, fostering belonging, and modeling mental wellness for students. Emphasis is placed on leadership practices, staff connection, and systems that support both educator and student well-being.
2. Social-Emotional Learning for the Whole Child: highlights evidence-based SEL practices that support students’ mental health, self-awareness, emotional regulation, and interpersonal skills. Presentations will examine classroom and schoolwide approaches that embed SEL into daily instruction, address anxiety and stress, and promote resilience across all developmental levels.
3. Bullying Prevention & Student Safety: addresses bullying, cyberbullying, and relational aggression through a mental-health-informed lens. Presentations will include proactive strategies for prevention, student empowerment, bystander intervention, and creating safe spaces where students feel heard, valued, and protected.
4. Restorative Practices & Relationship-Centered Schools: centers on restorative approaches that prioritize healing, accountability, and connection over punishment. Sessions explore restorative circles, trauma-informed responses, conflict resolution, and rebuilding trust to support students’ social-emotional growth and overall mental well-being.
5. Family Partnerships, Innovation & the Role of AI in Mental Health: explores how schools can partner with families while thoughtfully leveraging technology and AI to support mental health. Topics include parent engagement strategies, home–school communication, ethical and responsible use of AI, and digital tools that enhance social-emotional support without replacing human connection.
